Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Comb Retwist.

Most clients schedule a Comb Retwist every 4–6 weeks. Frequency depends on growth rate, density, and desired neatness. Faster growth or looser roots may require more frequent visits to maintain defined parts and prevent matting.

Our Comb Retwist includes careful root combing, tension-free retwisting, optional palm-rolling, and light finishing. Pricing assumes up to 100 locs; full styling beyond basic maintenance is extra. Consultation determines time and any needed repairs.

The posted price covers up to 100 locs. Excessive new growth, matted or heavy roots, and locs longer than mid-back length will require an in-salon upcharge to account for added time and product.

Appointment length varies by loc count, density, and root condition. Expect most Comb Retwists to take between 1.5 and 4 hours. Severe matting, extra growth, or very long locs may extend time and affect pricing.

You may wash your locs 24–48 hours before your appointment to ensure a clean scalp and manageable roots. Avoid heavy oils or conditioners that cause buildup; in-salon washing is available for an added fee if preferred.

Loc Style is Extra — the Comb Retwist secures roots and refreshes parts only. Special styling, part changes, or intricate finishes are billed separately. We review styling options at booking so you understand costs and choices.
